"In 2020 I took back the role of Controller for our restaurants due to Covid layoffs.  This role involved managing the gratuity payouts for our team.  I realized how cumbersome the process was, how much liability there was to us, the restaurant and the owners and the lack of transparency to our staff.  I searched for a better, more efficient way, a more transparent way for our employees and couldn’t find one that suited our needs.  So I designed one and worked with a software development company to built a tool for us to use.  Four years later, a 2022 CRA ruling, lots of trial and error, here we are and are thrilled to launch TipOut to help other restaurants who struggle with managing these funds to the best advantage of the team and the owners.  We know our margins are razor thin, why wouldn't you want to save this kind of money?"
